Curls - If I remember correctly.. didn't you do the disney marathon in January? We are thinking about going to DW in January (My DH is the stubborn one that thinks he's gonna hate it.. ). I happened to see that the marathon will be going on during the time we are looking at. Is it overly crowded with marathon runners/families around that time? I haven't looked into it much, but we would probably just avoid the parks that have the marathons on particular days. Was the weather decent?
For other past Disney visitors - they are offering a good deal on the dining plan. Have any of you done that, and what's your opinion?
Also, we are looking at staying at Coronado Springs - anyone stayed there? Or any other moderate level resorts you would recommend?

Re: **Curls218** / & questions about disney
We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort on our honeymoon. We were just in a standard room so it was nothing special, but the resort was nice. There's a beach on the bay with lots of hammocks and lounge chairs set up. There's several heated pools around the village. Then you can walk along a boardwalk/bridge path to the Old Port Royale where there's a food court and bigger pools and a water playground. That part is more for kids but it was nice to walk through.
Coronado Springs and Port Orleans are nice too. I've heard good things about both.
H and I stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort in 2005. It's a standard room (standard for Disney) but we had a courtyard view. It was nice and we liked the location. Stayed at the Dixie Landings before it got merged with Port Orleans (now its called old port Orleans or Port Orleans west or something like that I think).
With Port Orleans you can rent a boat and drive it to Downtown Disney. Staying at the Boardwalk or any of those resorts in that circle grouping you can either walk or take a ferry to Epcot. Staying at the Polonisian, and other Magic Kingdom hotels you can take the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
Is Coronado Springs half Disney Vacation Club? I found that the hotels with a DVC section and hotel section tend to be really nice.
Never had a meal plan so I can't help you with that. If you haven't already spend the money on The Unoficial Guide to Walt Disney World. It'll tell you all you want to know and then some.
We've stayed at the Caribbean beach resort before and it was very nice.
We did the meal plan when we went this month and I would say it was worth it. It was nice to not have to worry about how much money you were spending on food. We weren't hungry at all because the portions are pretty generous, but I did take a few small snack things with us. Also it allowed us to try some restaurants and things we probably wouldn't have otherwise because they were so pricey. I would do it again for sure! We did the plan with 1 snack, 1 quick service meal and 1 table service meal.
Also if you have Verizon I would recommend downloading the Disney Parks app. It didn't work flawlessly the entire time we were there, but it did show wait times above all the rides in the park which was really nice. I don't know if its available on the other services, I just know I have Verizon and they promote it alot.
We did the dinning plan when we went to Disney for our honeymoon. We liked it alot, but if you want to go to some really nice restaurants make a reservation. It was a good thing to have where we didn't have to carry around a lot of cash, just the window to the world card and pay for any drinks and tip the waiter.
I would recommend going to eat at Cinderella's castle, that was probably my fav place to eat on the dinning plan (it is like 3 meals per person though)
