December 4, 2008, Sick with the Blue Flu

I don't normally post here, but a friend of mine sent this to me, and I wanted to pass it along in hopes that more people would participate:

December 4, 2008
I am not one that gets very politically active, but I am saddened by the majority of the voting public's hate. Taking someone else's rights, no matter your feelings toward that person, is wrong and reprehensible. Over the course of yesterday, I have spoke with more then a few people, and they feel we should do a collective protest. I am suggesting December 4, 2008.

I can provide variations for those that do not want to mess with the HTML code themselves.

Hello, I am a Gay Man.
November 4, 2008 On November 4, 2008, the states of California, Arizona, and Florida voted to remove my rights. They follow the steps of at least 42 other states which have constitutional provisions that prohibit same-sex marriage.
December 4, 2008 On December 4, 2008, I plan to protest this demotion to a second-class citizen by saying and doing Nothing.
  • I will not speak.
  • I will not buy any item from any store.
  • I will not participate in any social activities.
  • I will not leave the house.
  • I will give the impression that I do not exist.

December 5, 2008 On December 5, 2008, I plan to return to work as if nothing has happened. I will not speak of the protest unless asked.
I will only say, "I was sick because my rights were taken away on November 4, 2008. Now, I do not have the same rights and freedoms as you."
Will you join me in saying and doing Nothing?

EDIT: Added above because facebook doesn't allow html-table notation. And it is a smaller version.
