Sunday Brunch
So we invited quite a few couple friends over for Brunch today because my in-laws were at a gala last night and stayed at a hotel. They left yesterday afternoon and weren't planning on coming back until dinner tonight, and since H and I wanted one night to ourselves, and a fun gathering while we had the house to ourselves, we did Brunch! Unfortunately only one couple could make it (we didn't decide to do this until last weekend), but it was really fun! We had Bacon from my FIL's meat stand at the Cleveland West Side Market (AMAZING), Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, and Mimosas, because who doesn't LOVE a reason to have a mimosa?!
I had planned to clean up after our friends left, then cook dinner so it would be ready for the ILs when they got back (I assumed 7ish). I expected our friends to leave around 4 or 5, which would leave a nice window for H and I to have the house to ourselves one last time. The ILs got back at ..... 3:00!!! WTF?! My friends felt bad that they were still there when they got back and I was like "Oh hell no, you're supposed to be here, they aren't!" ...*grumbles*
Nonetheless, it was very fun. Our friends are getting married Dec 15 and the guy was one of our GM, his FI was not in the wedding, but I invited her to the BP and she hung out with us in our room b4 the wedding. We talked all kinds of wedding stuff and it was a good time!
