It's the first full week of November friends. The next weeks are going to fly by. Election day is tomorrow. We are still trying to figure out the proposals on the ballot. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and the the Christmas Season is in full swing.
Anyone looking forward to one holiday over another this year?
Anyone thoughts about the election?
Re: Nov. 5th Weekly Randoms
I'm going to throw up if I hear/see one more political commercial. I don't want to turn on my TV or radio anymore. Thank God for Pandora and DVR. It's getting out of hand. I can't wait for it all to be over. Someone put flyers on my front AND back door- two of the same one. I'm sorry, someone walking that far on to my property is a no-no. If I saw someone I didn't know walking toward my backdoor, I'd be inclined to call the police. It's a good thing I wasn't home because they would have gotten an ear full.
I'm way more excited for Christmas. I'm looking forward to the 4 day weekend. I really want to start Christmas shopping now to avoid the crowds. The mall in December is a little too crazy for me.
I can't believe its November already! We are spending Thanksgiving here this year. We decided that trying to visit both sides of the family for both holidays is just too much driving. We got an earfull from my FIL about not coming home for Thanksgiving but we did say that anyone who wanted to make the drive was more than welcome to come to us. Now I just have to figure out what to make for the 3 of us for our Thanksgiving dinner.
I've started thinking about Chirstmas gifts. The only people I'm stuck on is my dad and brother. The rest I know, just need to shop! We will travel to WI and spend a few days with each family for Chistmas. I hate traveling but look forward to spending Christmas with our families.
I'm so glad the election is almost over. I'm sick of it all too! http://www.miballot2012.com/grid Here is a website I found with info on the MI propsals. I found it helpful so I can make a somewhat informed decision tomorrow on those issues.
I'm a horrible horrible DIL for saying this, but I'm not really looking forward to Turkey Day. MIL is a wonderful amazing person, but cooking really isn't her strong point and we're doing Thanksgiving with his family and Christmas Day with mine. His family has a big family Xmas the weekend after and we'll go to that.
My family always has super amazing food for Thanksgiving, so I'll be missing that
Horrible thoughts, I know. But it's the tummy talking This thanksgiving I am thankful for a wonderful new family, bad turkey and all!
First-time-holidays-as-a-married-couple drama aside I am definitely looking forward to Christmas! I love it! I hope we have real snow this year.
I'm looking forward to stopping that stupid bridge thing they way to do. I otherwise am avoiding discussing politics. As per my signature
Been thinking about you, hugs! Maybe you could volunteer at a shelter or make yourself dinner of your favorite food and drink (preferably something your XH didn't like and you never made for yourself!)
Indeed, Yay no more campaign adds.
Also: excitement - we are rescuing another bunny tomorrow evening!!!!!!
Agreed that it is nice to not have to watch the campaign ads anymore. I think Monday night I counted 5 or 6 in a row!
I was looking forward to the warmer weather this weekend but now it looks like rain. Boo.
Beef tips are in the crockpot for dinner and the house smells good!
DH is feeling better not 100% but better. I hope everyone gets to enjoy something this weekend.
I have to work on Saturday, but luckily I was able to help someone out who needed some extra $$ by generously giving him the opportunity to work my holiday shift on Monday haha.
We could use the $$, but I'm looking forward to having some time home to work with the buns. My bun is being a little brat to the new one - she's territorial of her "nest." Gotta work on that!
Edit: Saturday at work blows. It either SERIOUSLY busy or slooooooooowwwwww.
