Question - does Bullseye ever do a teeth chattering noise? Binny NEVER has before and all of a sudden recently she's been chattering her teeth like crazy in the morning when we're about to let her out and feed her. At first I thought...oh no, she's probably freezing. Then I read they do out of excitement. Just seems odd that she never did it before. It's kinda cute though
Just curious if your grey did it?

Re: Oops!! Esyn!
I'm assuming this post is for me!
And YES --- Bullseye does it! Not very often, but it's pretty funny when she does. It shocked us the first time she did it. It means they're really happy and excited.
Um, yes. This is for you, not Ering! haha.
It's so weird how she started doing this out of the blue. Now I kind of love it since it means she's happy and excited. Hope she's still doing it 6 months from now ha. I keep feeling bad for her for how much she has no idea how life is going to change soon.

I feel bad for Bullseye some days...lately we've been totally neglecting her b/c I'm so tired and DH is so busy with school/work. I've been giving her more treats to make up for it, but she's a few pounds overweight so now I have to watch how many treats she gets. I try to give her extra belly rubs before bed instead.
ha! Love that.
Esyn - my SIL and BIL live down the street and they said as part of our baby gift, they'll take care of her for the first few weeks/months. Walk her, etc. Thats a pretty rad gift because she's going to need some lovin. She's afraid of kids and obviously I'm hoping that since they're ours, she'll be ok but you never know. That makes me feel extra bad for her.
Erbur..that is adorable! I can't imagine a slow chatter haha. But then again, B doesn't do anything slowly!

That's great they're willing to walk her and stuff. You'll probably want to get out a lot in the beginning too...Bullseye went on a lot of walks when I was on maternity leave b/c he slept really well in his carseat and liked the movement.
Bullseye is also scared of kids (and some other dogs too). Whenever my friends bring their kids over to our house (or if kids approach her on walks) she gets really nervous and we have to make sure they don't jump on her --- she pretty much ignores them, though. She also ignores Oliver for the most part. She'll get excited when she sees him (and watch Binnie's tail! Bullseye's tail has knocked Oliver over a few times when he was younger, haha). Oliver knows not to go near her bed when she's sleeping, etc. I think she's warming up to him though b/c I let him give her dog treats.
Yeah I think we're going to have to train the kids to leave her alone when she's laying down while we also try to train her to be tolerant of the kids. Obviously thats all a long time off. Our biggest issue is space constraint. The family room area is very small so her bed takes up a lot of space. We might have to consider moving her bed.
Once they're old enough, they'll definitely be the ones to feed her and give her her snacks!
