Did you ever use your NF as diaper bag? (Do I remember correctly?) Did it work as a diaper bag or opted for a real bag at the end?

I actually did not use it as a diaper bag at first, there was just too much needed and not enough space in it - the more pockets/sections the better.  It took me a LONG time to find a cute diaper bag; I went through quite a few - 2 Coach bags(heavy and not smooshy enough), Nest Hudson(too heavy), Storksak Emily (fell apart and too small), Gucci messenger(too small and was fabric) but I FINALLY found "the one" when I bought my Burberry Tonal Crossbody bag in black - loved it an am going back and forth on if I want to sell it or not since I could still use it as a gym bag :-)

With all that said, after the first 8 months or so I bought an insert for my NF and it works like a dream for what I need now.  Looking back, I'm glad I bought an actual diaper bag for the first year especially with as much as we travel and highly recommend doing the same. Be prepared, if you go the route of an actual diaper bag be prepared to see a lot of fugly bags.

Thank you. I remember that you were trying to find something fashionable and functional. If you decide to part with your burberry let me know. I have another 7 months to need one. I also saw a Marc Jacobs on sale at NM last week but it didn't look anything special. The burberry diaper bags looked somewhat over priced IMO, a lot more than the same style but a regular bag, but then if I need to buy several to find one that I like or if they fall apart, the cost maybe the same.

Congrats, BTW - so exciting!!!  For sure, all of the designer diaper bags are overpriced, but just like with handbags the quality is so much better; it sounds silly but I felt so frumpy after the baby and my cute diaper bag was a little pick me up.  Be on the lookout for F&F sales since 20% of is better than nothing.  Rebecca Minkoff also had some cute ones, she typically has a decent Black Friday sale.  

One other thing, be leery of the all-leather bags, while they look great they are super heavy and you'll already be toting around a baby in a carseat :-) 

Let me know if you have any other baby-related questions - it's extremely overwhelming and I've learned that spending a little more pays off in the long run with diapers, strollers(Uppababy Vista & Babyjogger City Mini), some nursery items(Restoration Hardware Baby), carseats(Chicco), etc. I put in a lot of research for most of my buys, plus, I think we have similiar tastes

Thanks! I am still in shock, I don't know when will I get a grip, hopefully soon.

Ooh I forgot about RM! I will definitly check it out. Good recommendation against the all leather, too. 

And thank you the suggestions for other baby items.  I keep going back and forth between what style of nursery I wanna do, I love the RH Baby, so adorable, but also love the mod looks, too. We are going to buy a house soon, so I still have sometime to think about it.

You're going to have a blast!!!  I am SO glad Pinterest wasn't around when I had DS, I would've never made a decision :-)
