Dumb question....I can't remember...
Do news stations report the winner of states throughout the day on election day? I think I remember news stations doing this but I'm not sure.
If they do, I wonder how early states will go red or blue. I'm so anxious to know the voting results!!!!

They do as the polls close in each time zone. They can't release the information earlier than that.
The earliest we could get a final say is 8PM PST.
Poor Alaska and Hawaii.

The close states probably won't be projected right at closing (for fear of 2000 mistake), but this is a pretty good map of when each state will be announced. Plan accordingly.
There can be no winner until the polls close.
