How long were your voting lines?

I waited for an hour this morning at the Crofton Library from 7:40-8:40. Could have been worse, I guess!

Re: How long were your voting lines?

  • I waited for about 40 minutes this morning at Kent Island High school from 7:10 to 7:50. The line was shorter when I left.

  • about an hour - from 8-9 in Howard County.

I'm annoyed that they only had 6 voting stations.  They need at least double that.

  • Waited for an hour.  Arrived at 7:05 and left at 8:10.  There were TONS of open machines the problem was that there were only 2 sets of election judges checking people in.  Usually there are atleast 4 sets at my polling place.

  • My polling location is an elementary school.  We got there at 8:15 and were done by 9, so 45 minutes.

We only had 2 people checking in voters too.  I don't know why this can't be a better process.

  • I gave up because the line was out the school door into the parking lot. I will go after work, when I have more time to wait. I expect it will be just as bad tonight. There was no parking and people were parking all crazy in the neighborhood.
  • About a half hour in Timonium around 9:30.

  • I waited about 45 minutes downtown.  They only had 4 voting stations and only two people checking voters in, and only 10 voter cards (so they kept having to wait to check people in until more people were done voting.)  It was not very efficient at ALL.

  • I didn't go this morning and now I'm afraid I should have. I drove by my polling place and it didn't look too crowded this morning. I hope it's manageable this evening.

  • I got to my polling station at 7:05 and got out at 8:15.  There were 17 voting machines and plenty of folks checking all the voters in. There were a few moments when there was a lack of cards to get people checked in, but as soon as more cards were available then they were circulated around.

  • who decides how many voting machines each polling station gets?

  • I arrived at 6:45 and finished up at 7:22. I waited outside for 15 minutes and then another 15 to 20 minutes inside. I think it took about 5 minutes to vote.

  • I got to my polling place (Crofton Middle) at maybe 8:45. It was not bad at all. There was no wait to get checked in and I waited in line maybe 10 minutes for a machine. I drove past Crofton Library on my way home though and it was mobbed!

  • 1 1/2 hours to vote last night at 6:00 p.m.  The actual voting part took like 5 minutes.
  • I was surprised since I waited until later in the morning to go and I was still there an hour.  Our lines aren't normally that long, but I'm happy to see a better turnout.
