anyone else NOT TTC just yet?

My husband and I are both from Baytown (just east of Houston), but I went to school here at UT so I've lived in the Austin area for about 10 years now. 

I was the last of my close girlfriends to get married, so naturally I'm out of the loop AGAIN because now they all have kids. The Hubs and I are still enjoying each other and not TTC just yet, so while that's fun for us (hello cocktails!), kind of a bummer to not be on the same wavelength as all of my "mommy" friends...

Don't get me wrong, I love all of my friends and their kiddos and we still see them regularly. But, there is something to be said about having another married couple who can drop everything to go to dinner at last minute, or go to a party without having to worry about a sitter.

Anyone else dealing with this?

We aren't, even though I have crazy baby fever, we know waiting is the best right now! We just moved to Austin from Houston (where i feel everyone had a kid married or not) which might be why I have baby fever. We are new in Austin, so we haven't met many people here, but the few we did know have kids or a start-up business which is essentially their baby. It is nice thought, for DH to come home and the house is clean, dinner is made and we get our drink on and do what we want to do without having to worry about a tike running around all rambunctious.
