To be fair though, I think what he meant was that it showed Obama's willingness to work with Republicans, like Chris Christie, and how well he took control of the situation. Polls showed that Hurricane Sandy affected Obama's campaign in a very positive way. He just could have stated it better.

Don't. Even if I agree with what he is saying (which about half the time I don't), the way he comes across makes me want to argue with him. I find him just as obnoxious as Bill O' Reilly.
