For the last few days we've had a white cat hanging around our front yard. Every morning when I'm getting ready to leave she's there. I just did a search on Craigslist and someone on our street posted a found ad on Oct. 30. They said she's being hangining around for a few weeks and they've been feeding her.
What else can I do to find this kitty's home? Should I take it in to the pound?
It's getting awefully cold here these days. In the 40s during the day and probably in the low 30s at night. I just feel really bad for her.
Re: Found cat advice
So I've posted a sign up in our neighborhood, taken the cat to get scanned for a microchip (nothing), posted on a local Facebook page, and left a found report with Animal Control.
Our neighbors have had a few people call and one lady came to look. It wasn't her cat but she's interested in taking him if no one claims him. What do we do about that?
It sounds like you have given an exhaustive effort to find the owners. I am not sure when you started trying to find the owner but if you feel like you did everything and enough time has gone by I'd probably let the lady interested in him adopt him because as you said, it's getting cold.
