Anti-Obama sentiment has nothing to do with race
Re: Anti-Obama sentiment has nothing to do with race
These are people who are clearly anti-Obama because he's black and they are racist.
I don't think everyone who is against Obama is racist or is against him because he's black - not at all. But there is definitely a significant group of people who are exactly that, and I hate when people say "race isn't an issue!" or "you're making too big a deal out of race!" when this kind of hate still exists in our country.
Anyone see O'Reilly's comments about how we're no longer a "traditional America?" Um, last I checked, America is, traditionally, a nation of immigrants. What's more American than generations of "untraditional" people (read: non-Anglo Saxon Protestants) coming to our shores in search of a better life for themselves and their children?
There are many lessons ahead of 2016, but the first is that the Republicans need to rebuke anyone who spouts hate speech, even veiled hate speech.
If they did that, they would lose a sizeable chunk of their base.
I started a thread on this awhile back, I can't remember if
you posted on it or not.
I feel race was a major factor in most of the fierce
hatred of Obama.
As far as the tweets, I am sometimes very afraid for this country.
