wired doorbell

Just bought a condo and we have an old wired doorbell that makes a buzzer noise. I'd really like to replace it, but the box is in a cramped spot and I'm having a hard time finding something that will fit. Any body replaced their old buzzer doorbell before and can help point me in the right direction? Thank you!

Re: wired doorbell

  • A friend bought a wireless battery operated one.  Took off the old one.  Screwed the new one over the hole.  Done.  I think they got it at Home Depot or somewhere like that.

  • We also went the wireless route. You can find them at any hardware story, and it was easy for DH to install.

  • Sorry, I'm of no help but just wanted to say I'll be working on the very same project any day now (when I stop procrastinating).  Our doorbell stopped working entirely.
