The election is now over and we can move onto the holidays. I noticed that 100.5 is already playing Christmas music. Maybe it's just me but I think its a bit early for that.
Re: Nov. 12th Weekly Randoms
I'm listening to Christmas music right now. No shame. It makes me happy. I need "happy" right now.
I'm sort of a grinch...and I don't really celebrate christmas, so I feel like christmas music and whatnot should not be allowed till 2 weeks before christmas.
Thankfully I don't really have to deal with it too much because I don't listen to the radio and I don't work retail (If I was forced to work at a store that played christmas music for 2-3 months straight I'd kill someone.)
I do work in advertising though and have been dealing with the holidays since june...so I think it's fair that by the time christmas rolls around I'm already sick of it.

yay!
I am actually looking forward to Christmas this year. Not the gift giving so much (that is still at the bottom of both me and DH's love languages) but last year I bought some Christmas decorations and so I'm looking forward to putting those out. DH refuses to help me with a tree, something about being forced to put up like 10 of them for his mom when he was younger, but I decided to get other decorations just for me and we both enjoy them. I'm looking forward to spending time with my extended family.
I'm excited for Christmas, but worried it is going to come too fast!! I am trying to get gifts done early, but I'm not creative and rely so much on people's personal lists, which none of my family has submitted to me yet! So excited to see my brother, SIL, and nephew who live in NJ!!! We don't get to see them very often and it will be wonderful to catch up!
As for Christmas music, I'm not ready for that yet. It needs to be at least after Thanksgiving, preferably 2-3 weeks before Christmas and then a few days after. (It always boggles my mind that they start the 24/7 Christmas music so early, but then the day after Christmas, they stop playing it completely!)
Charity, that's great about your car! I've had a Focus since 2007 and love it! We are looking for another car, my husbands car died on us a few months ago, so we've been living with just 1 car, and we are definitely thinking about getting a 2nd Focus!
Hope everyone is doing well. Happy Hump Day!
The weekend is just a few hours away. Anyone want to share their plans?
SS is going to help out is Grandpa tonight and tomorrow so it will just be DH & myself tonight. Not sure what we will do. Maybe dinner. Dinner sounds good.
