Ben has a low sperm count and low mobility.
They want me to start Clomid and do and IUI (insemination).
I don't know what to do. its not cheap. but we can afford it.
Ben wants to get through the holidays and then do it in January. I see where he's coming from but I would really hate to lose another 2 more months. KWIM.
lots to think about and I only have until this afternoon to make the decision. I told Ben i'd call him back at lunch to discuss more.

I'm sorry. As much as it sucks to hear, at least you have a reason and now have a plan to move forward.
I think I agree with Ben and would wait until after the holidays for a couple reasons. First, there is alot of monitoring needed with clomid & IUIs to make sure the timing is right. I had to give myself my first injection on christmas night. I was so tired & it kind of ended the night on a low note. With everything else going on it will add extra stress which isn't good. Second, IF it doesn't work the first time, you will be getting that news right before Christmas.
Can you check the calendar? Would it technically only be one cycle?

Why do you have to make a decision by the afternoon?
We skipped our first medicated cycle b/c we felt like we didn't have answers to all our questions about the medication I was given. Not our doctors fault, just stuff we thought of later. It was so hard to wait b/c I wanted to be pregnant already.
only because if i'm going to start the clomid they want me to start it today.

Honestly I'm not sure what the rush is. I think you should take tonight and talk to Ben about it. Trying to make a decision by this afternoon is too much! Will it really matter that much if you start today vs. tomorrow?
apparently it does.
but Ben and I decided to wait until January to start our treatment cycle. so nothing but fun until then. well minus alcohol and smokes for Ben
