Tell me about the The Festival of Trees - worth it?

Re: Tell me about the The Festival of Trees - worth it?

  • I like going when I can get free tickets... I know it's for a good cause, but it's kind of expensive just to look at decorated trees and visit vendors that make you spend more money.

  • My sister and I take the kids every year the day after Thanksgiving.  It has sort of become our tradition and it is for a good cause.  The kids get a kick looking at the houses more so than the trees and they have lots of entertainment for the kids.
  • We went last year and Mia's eager to go again, but we got free tickets through my Mom (her work decorated a tree last year). I'm not sure I'd pay for it.

  • We went last year and are planning to go again next year on Friday. The Milkshake Band is playing at 4 so that's what we're aiming for.

  • I like going and looking at all the trees.  Really puts me in a festive, holiday mood for a good 24-48 hours!  It's crowded no matter what time you go but generally it's not unmanageable.  I think it's fun...but yes, it can be costly.
