Confession.

This  morning, I was flipping through radio stations and 99.7 was playing Christmas music; I didn't change the station. Surprise  In my defense, it was TSO's "Christmas Canon", how can anyone change that OR Mariah Carey??  I am usually so strong, and do my best to hold out until thanksgiving night....but I was weak this morning....weak, I tell you!

anyone else?

Re: Confession.

  • Eleni's birthday is in 18 days.  And I have zero ideas on what to do for her to celebrate it, and little interest to put effort into it this year.
  • Bah humbug! I heard the Christmas music on and instantly flipped the station. Then again, it wasn't TSO playing ;)

  • i have been doing really well with skipping any xmas songs that shuffle on my iPhone, but last night michael buble came on and I just couldn't do it.  So i pulled up my Christmas Carol playlist and blasted it while i was making dinner and it was wonderful!  mike came home from work and was like WTF?!?!

  • Alright, I don't know if I can talk to you anymore. I'm still in shock over Light Up Night being this Friday and Thanksgiving next week already! That said, I have started buying gifts for the kids (with a 12/25 due date, I really don't have any other choice!) and got the Santa wrapping paper. I also laid out our Christmas card last night - just waiting on one more photo from the shoot we did in October. I was debating taking the boys to Portrait Innovations for their one pose shot, but now I don't think I want to spend the $15 and the time to dress them, take them there, feel pressured to order more...

My confession: I'm still kind of in denial about baby #3. I'm going through the motions and really am trying to enjoy this last pregnancy. I've been incredibly fortunate to have an easy time overall (outside of severe leg cramps at night, numerous tests to figure out why I'm so anemic and can't get my iron counts up, and just overall tired). My concern is that I'm not sure how I'm going to balance 3 kids in different stages (homework, bratty/whiney, and then infant) with work and stuff! I'm tired now!

I'm also in the "easily aggravated" stage and a few colleagues are ticking me off with their lack of stepping up to the plate and taking jobs that come in. There are three of us consistently taking projects and it's getting annoying!

Oh and another one: my pup is going through growing pains again (hopefully his last bout with it), so he's limping around and not his usual excitable self. I'm confessing to liking this because, though I hate to see him in pain, he is so much calmer. Well, he was sleeping at the top of our stairs the other night, with his back legs hanging off, and he must have gotten into a deep sleep because next thing you know, he slid down the stairs! My other confession is that I was laughing so hard at it. He didn't get hurt, but had this stunned, sleepy look on his face. He's a big clown!

    My three sons!

  • I have ordered the kids christmas pjs and christmas outfits. We've had our pictures taken for presents/cards and last night I finally made a list of kid ideas to send to my mom and my aunts. DH put the outside lights up on Saturday while it was nice, but they aren't on yet.

I'm trying to get on the ball, but I'm not psyched about Christmas yet. It could be that I finally feel like I'm getting the house and toys organized and under control...and christmas just means a new influx of stuff. I really don't feel like going through them all to do a big purge right now. I have my own stuff that I want to spend my evenings doing...

Although once I get the digital files of our family pictures and start designing our holiday card, that feeling might change. Maybe I *need* to listen to christmas music, to turn around my attitude! ;-)

  • I found cute Christmas PJs at Target and had a coupon, so I bought them last week. I also already received the new stockings and advent calendar I ordered from Pottery Barn. I'm excited to hang all of that up next weekend! Christmas is the only holiday I decorate for at all, but I go all out for it. This year we're going to have four trees and I cant wait :)

I loaded my christmas music onto my phone when I updated it last week, but I'm holding out on listening to it until next weekend

  • Disney was fully decked out for Christmas (and Mom and I went to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) so for me it was weird for everything not to be all Christmasy at home.

Clare, you are going to do GREAT with 3, just like you are with 2! I am excited to see if its a girl or boy:) I can't believe it's sooo close!
