IKEA & discontinued furniture lines?
Since it is SUPER SLOW here:
We bought a couch from there last year with removable slip covers. In this year's catalog, the couch and love seat are both cheaper. Is this what IKEA does to a furniture line before they discontinue it? Any way to find out.
I'd like to buy some slip covers for it before they get rid of it.
(We bought IKEA because we just had a kid. I really didn't want to get "nice" furniture and have it get ruined.)
Re: IKEA & discontinued furniture lines?
I'm not sure if it necessarily means that it's being discontinued. Ikea seems to be all about the "new lower prices" approach. We have a few various large pieces of furniture from there (no couches though...although I like several of them!) that are at least 5 years old but the price is cheaper now than when we got them.
What style is it?
There are websites that sell Ikea furniture slipcovers (not made by Ikea, but made by them for Ikea stuff) it's more money than Ikea stuff is, but there are a ton more options.
