I'm being naughty tonight...
And having a very unhealthy appetizer for dinner. For some reason I've been craving spinach and artichoke dip. So, I decided to try out the recipe. If it comes out okay, it may be a good dish to take on Thanksgiving. Just something to snack on while everything else is cooking
Here is the recipe in case your curious.

DH and I went to ihop last night. He got steak tips with hash browns and eggs and I got chicken fingers and fries
that does sound good. is it easy to make?
H and I definitely need more quick and easy to make dinner ideas to throw into our mix. We have a few favorites that we do almost every week.
It's really easy and inexpensive. All you need is a pack of steak strips from the meat department and some teriyaki marinade (Raley's and Safeway will marinade meat for free), and some stir-fry veggies (frozen or fresh), a packet of stir-fry sauce mix and a package of asian stir-fry noodles (or just top ramen noodles). Those last two are both found in the asian section. Total cost is under $10 and it makes 2-4 servings.
Boil the noodles in a pot. Fry the steak strips in a pan with the stir-fry sauce mix (add teriyaki marinade as needed). Steam the veggies in the microwave. Then add them all together. If you bought extra teriyaki marinade you can add some when you are mixing to make sure everything gets evenly coated.
The best part of the recipe is that there is so many areas for variation. You could add chicken or pork instead of steak, and add whatever veggies you like, as well as change up the noodles.
I will definitely be trying this! Thanks!
Btw..what are Raleys and Safeway?
Another easy favorite of mine is called taco skillet. It reminds me of a skillet version of an enchilada.

Do you live outside the US? They are both grocery stores. I forget sometimes that not everyone on here lives in the same area as me.
When you buy your meat, ask the meat department if they do free marinades. A lot of grocery stores do it.
No I live in Alabama I've just never heard of those. We have Publix and Winn Dixie. But then maybe you've never heard of those..lol
You're right, I haven't heard of those.
I just realized also that Raley's are only in nothern california. It's just strange because Targets and Walmarts are everywhere, I figured the same went for grocery stores. I was wrong.
Walmart? What is that?
Just Kidding...
That sounds amazing! So jealous!
My husband and I will bake broccoli bread to bring to the Thanksgiving luncheon at my grandparents' house (nov 18). Broccoli bread, if no one has ever heard of it is sweet corn bread with broccoli and creddar cheese in it. It sounds unusual but tastes great!
PS
I live in Louisiana. We have Winn Dixie as well as other groceries stores here. I have heard of Publix because I have a friend who lives in FL that speaks about it on Facebook.
(in reference to the alabama nestie)
PS
I think anything with the name "Dixie" in it would be exclusive to the Southern states.
Haha that's true.
Hmm just the name broccoli bread sounds kind of..different. But how you described it sounds pretty good!
