So what IS the proper pant length for dress pants? I know there are ankle length, which I obviously understand, but what about "regular" length.
I thought there were supposed to cover the tops of your shoes/to your heels without bunching...
The reason I ask is I just bought pants and I can't tell if they are *almost* too short or the right length. I fall between a petite and a regular. Some petites fit, but most are a bit too short, but the regular sizes end up being a bit too long/big. I really hate getting my pants hemmed.
Thanks!
Re: Style ?, - Pant length
I usually run into the same problem. Petites are usually too short, but regulars are always too long. I think there are certain styles that are intended to wear with the hem at the ankle (I'm thinking the "skinny" styles).
For my work/dress pants, I always have them hemmed to fall at the top of my shoe, no bunching, without touching the ground.

Thanks, luckii. I did end up Googling it. I also returned the pants I bought and purchased yet *another* 2 pairs of pants. We'll see how they work. With all the time and effort I have spent on trying to get pants, I wonder if it would have been cheaper to hire a seamstress or tailor to just make me pants and be done with it.
