Re: Epcot tomorrow - yayyy!!

  • Oh fun! I've been three times this year. : ) My favorites are

    Canada- cheese soup

    Greece- Spanikopita (spinach pastry)

France- Goat cheese quiche or choc. crembrola (not sure of spelling, lol)

    Australia wine walkabout is fun!

Chili- good wine! Beef Empanada ( I think it's in chili)

    America- crab cake..yum!

    Have fun!!!!!

  • This list is going to look kind of sad, but I love to eat Wink and we went several times.  Here were some of my favs:

Bolonga, Italy: Baked Ziti, Mascarpone Cream Puff with Gianduja Chocolate

Boston:  Crab cake was pretty good

Argentina: Beef & Corn Casserole (this was my favorite thing and the biggest portion!), Grilled Beef with Chimichurri

South Africa: Durban Spiced Chicken (this was pretty good)

Poland: Creamy Wild Mushroom Soup, Keilbasa with Potato Pierogies--both of these were awesome!

Canada: Cheddar Cheese Soup, Maple Glazed Salmon, Maple Custard with Almond Crumble--all of it was great!

San Francisco: Seared Beef Medallion with Cheese Polenta--DH loved this

China:  Pork Pot Stickers--I'd pass on these

India:  Shrimp with Red Curry over Rice--very good, moderately spicy

New Zealand:  Bay Scallops with Baby Greens and Vinaigrette (Very good and portion was big), I'd pass on the Kiwi Tart

  • I have never been before - do you sample all of these foods and is it included in the admission price?

  • Unfortunately, samples are not included in the price of admission. Budget yourself and be prepared to spend at least $50-100 for two adults. It adds up fast!

    Hawaii
  • The salmon at Canada is always one of my favorites every single year. :)

A few years ago they had a chocolate dessert stand with a flourless cake that was to die for. I'm so disappointed that it didn't become a regular feature!

    Hawaii
  • We tried a lot of stuff, and everything was pretty good, but here are the ones we thought were standouts:

India - Shrimp (I think it was tandoori style?)

America - Lobster Roll (and the Sam Adams beer tasting was well-done and enjoyable too)

Cheese stand (not sure what country it was supposed to be) - Three cheese sampler and prosecco

France - escargot (although as my DH likes to point out, any dish involving that much butter is almost guaranteed to taste good. LOL)

    Have fun! :)
