Vent: stolen gas!!

Argh I am beyond pissed!! Someone stole the gas out of DH's truck. Oh, and get this. Not just by siphoning it off but by drilling a hole in his gas tank!! The kicker is it's going to cost us $400 dollars to have the system flushed and the hole welded because it went up into a second tank. F me!! I am so livid! I cannot believe people! $400 in repairs for maybe $20 worth of gas. Ugh.

That is ridiculous. I cannot believe what some people do.....that makes me so angry. And gas is so cheap these days!

Thanks ladies! It happened at home (overnight) which kind of scares me. Our mechanic said he had an SUV in last week with the same thing.

Jayme that should be covered under the *comp* part of the policy it just depends how much the deductible is? they have to weigh out their options.

 I just looked - $500. I think we're better off just paying for the repairs ourselves.

Awww Gretchen that really stinks.

I think though this is a good time to re evaluate your ins policy.  i think it would be worth the extra few bucks (shouldnt be too much higher) to lower your comp ded. to $250 and keep your col at $500.

dont forget if you ever have to file a comp claim it wont go against your premium.
