Re: So what will you be doing for Thanksgiving?
For the first time in about 8 years we will be having thanksgiving with my dads side of the family. When I was growing up we would have thanksgiving with both sides of my parents family, just on different days, but then a lot of family drama happened and my grandparents moved 4 hours away and on the other side of the mountains, and snow was always an excuse for not going, so we would just visit them in the summer months. However now my grandpas health is really declining so we are all getting together again for the holidays. And a lot of the family drama has resolved, especially after getting everyone together at my wedding. I think just having an excuse for everyone to put aside their differences really helped.
So I'm excited. It's going to be a fun holiday.
We downsized this year and moved from a McMansion to a 2 BR condo. This being the case, our home will not be the "expected" host home this year as it has been in the past. Yay! We have actually been invited to some close friends' house for dinner and I was more than willing to say yes. I'll be making 1 dish to bring as opposed to an entire TGiving dinner for a very large family. Stress free this year!
