Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? Not really exciting but I got a lot done around the house and did a lot of baking.
    • Lows? This morning I found a pile of feathers under one of my bird feeders. Crying
    • Read anything good? Still reading the third Harry Potter. I was all excited to have the house to myself Saturday to read but it didn't happen.
    • Watch anything good? Just Dexter and caught up on Kitchen Nightmares and The Good Wife.
    • Eat/make anything good? I made four kinds of cookies - peppermint white chocolate, white chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter pretzel and gingerbread. The only cookie cutters I had were dog bones so I made gingerbread bones. Embarrassed
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Vent: I made reservations for all of us for Thanksgiving at a restaurant after painstakingly finding a place my super picky Gma would like. Then yesterday my mom tells me that my aunt's boyfriend might not come and that my aunt hadn't even asked my cousin and her boyfriend yet. I'm like, are you kidding me? T-giving is only in 3 days and I need to call the restaurant if we're down 3 people.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Only one more day of work, going to see ICE, not having to cook for Thanksgiving, craft fair and Greek food.
    • Highs? Visiting a friend on Friday and dinner in with friends Friday night.
    • Lows? Caroline coming down with a cold, she all snotty and congested.
    • Read anything good? I'm still reading Gone Girl (I'm having a hard time getting into the book.)
    • Watch anything good? I found some time (during the kids nap) to watch last week episode of Gossip Girl and 90210
    • Eat/make anything good? I made chili last night.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I hate when my kids are sick, but this morning DH is whining because he's not feeling well. Dude, I understand you feel crappy, but what do you want me to do??
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Not cooking dinner for Thanksgiving. The only down side is no leftovers.

    • Highs? Kind of a lazy weekend. I had most of the day to myself on Sunday and I got a haircut and ran an errand.
    • Lows? DS still refuses to nap. It's getting ridiculous and DH and I disagree on how much to let him CIO.
    • Read anything good? No.
    • Watch anything good? I finished season 8 of Grey's Anatomy and I was pissed to find only episodes 2-6 online of season 9. Where's episode 1??
    • Eat/make anything good? Pear granola muffins.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I love that DH will occasionally take DS to his parents' and give me a day off - it's awesome and I am very lucky. But when I have a lot of free time like that, I feel like I need to be productive or it's wasted time. I didn't get nearly enough done yesterday, the grocery store was insane and took longer than I expected, and I didn't get to the one errand that I really wanted to do. I'm going to try to go tomorrow, but we'll see.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Thanksgiving, but really the 3 day work week/4 day weekend.

    Decorate This

    • Highs? Took Mia to the firehouse on Saturday for an outing with her Daisy Scouts, then we had lunch with our best friends after. It was a blast. Also, I was completely tickled by the fact that, for the first time, I bought coordinating outfits for my kids. It's the little things, really.
    • Lows? I'm a hormonal beast, which caused some friction between Ed and I.
    • Read anything good? I read A Perfect Hope, the third (and final) in the Inn Boonsboro series by Nora Roberts. Loved it!
    • Watch anything good? Lots of DVRed stuff, with Scandal being my favorite of everything I watched this weekend. In the not-good category, I watched SNL Saturday night and the AMAs last night. They suckedass. Except Pink's performance at the AMAs - amazeballs!
    • Eat/make anything good? Nothing sticks out.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Liam slept 8 hours in his crib on Saturday night and 9.5 hours in it last night. I'm betting on it being a fluke and trying not to get my hopes up, but man am I elated!
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Two day work week! And, of course, Thanksgiving.

  • Highs? We went to dinner with my parents last night and then DH and I went for a long walk. It was nice.
Lows? Having to work yesterday.  It was OT but I would've enjoyed the day off.
    Read anything good? No
Watch anything good? No time for tv
Eat/make anything good? We went to Rangoli's by Arundel Mills.  India's in Annapolis is still my favorite but this was a very close second!!
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?  My sister got a job (finally!) and my mom is going to come up and watch the kids for 6 weeks during her orientation/training.   I told DH and my sister that my mom cannot stay with us for those 6 weeks and everyone agreed.  Last night at dinner, she asked if she could stay at our house two nights a week (when my sister is off) to give them family time. Which is BS because really, she just wants a break.   It put us on the spot at dinner because we weren't expecting it.  I didn't say no but I didn't say yes so it was awkward. My mom is BSC so I couldn't deal with her being around for 6 weeks, even if it is only two nights a week.
What are you looking forward to this week? Thanksgiving!!  I work 8am - 4:30pm so I get to earn a ton of money (2.5x my regular pay) while DH does all the cooking. Not too shabby!

    • Highs? went to a family party yesterday and got to see my family
    • Lows? DS2 was SO CRANKY yesterday and kept crying-totally not like him. think he's got a few more teeth coming in
    • Read anything good? no
    • Watch anything good? no
    • Eat/make anything good? there was some good food there yesterday but I barely got to eat because I was trying to keep an eye on both kids.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I am just about done pumping and will be so relieved not to have to drag the damn pump to work with me every day and wash all the parts every night
    • What are you looking forward to this week? turkey day! and doing absolutely nothing on friday.

  • Highs? Ava got a trophy for playing soccer on Saturday, she was so excited. Lows? DS had a major attitude yesterday . Read anything good? I'm slowly making my way through another John Grisham book. Watch anything good? The first 45 minutes of Dexter last night (and then Faith woke up) Eat/make anything good? baked manicotti last night FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? The parents of the juniors are supposed to hand in letters we wrote to our sons for them to get at their Jr Ring Ceremony. I'm having a hard time writing mine because he's such a jerk 90% of the time. What are you looking forward to this week? Thanksgiving

  • Highs - Got to see some friends and I went to see Breaking Dawn 2. Yes, it's my guilty pleasure. Finally got a haircut!

Lows - I tend to be a worrier and a planner. DH basically made fun of that (I was talking about all of the things that we have to do to get ready for T-Day). So I told him that I wasn't doing anything and he was basically in charge of Tday.

    No reading.

Only watched the latest episode of Big Bang Theory. It was funny, but not particularly memorable. Saw "Breaking Dawn 2" this weekend and I liked it, but I thought it could have been a bit longer.

Eat anything? Went to DuClaw and and this AWESOME salted caramel-tini. Normally, I get this beer, but this was REALLY good. Buttery and warm and caramel-ly and salty and creamy. I should have had 2

    FFC/AW.

DD slept from 7:30 until 6:30 PM TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW! AND she took an hour nap both days!

My FIL, SMIL and mom are all coming to our house and staying for 4 nights. I am semi-uncomfortable about FIL. He always insists on holding DD even when she doesn't want to be held.  If I could afford it, I would put them up at a hotel.

I'm going to my HS reunion this weekend (after stopping in Frederick to go to a Bar Mitzvah). I am a little nervous about having IL's babysit DD while I am at the Bar Mitzvah. I'm also a bit nervous about leaving her alone for the 2nd time.
