What age is too old for please touch?

9 yo nephew and 5yo niece.  Will the please touch cover both or is it too young for the 9yo?

  • he may be borderline, there is one section that is pretty cool when you enter to the left, and the train exhibit is neat but otherwise I think the rest is too young. Unless he likes "helping" with his sister while she plays. I would do the Frankllin Institute or aquarium instead with those ages

  • I took my cousins at that age, the older one really enjoyed it even though it was a little young to her, but she seemed to enjoy it. I don't think she cares to go back.

  • Borderline. Originally it was designed for 7 and under. But big kids seen to like it enough. The Franklin is probably better for the ages.
  • I don't think a 9 year old would enjoy...I agree with others who have suggested the Franklin Institute or Adventure Aquarium.

  • Butting in with a question - at what age is a good time for a first visit?  Obv I'm not thinking of taking my almost 3-month old now...but would she be too young this coming summer (9-12 months)?

probably, I wouldn't suggest it until she is a stable walker

  • I might suggest waiting even longer unless you buy a membership. M still only likes doing small sections and can get easily overwhelmed. I get in for free because of museum worker stuff otherwise I would think the cost is a waste.

This. We took Ava around 14 months or so. She was completely walking which I would say is a definite for there but she was still too small to really enjoy it. However, now I think is an ideal age and can't wait to take her this winter.

  • Thank you !
