What did you do with your wedding dress?
I recently got married and I am trying to figure out what to do with my dress.

Re: What did you do with your wedding dress?
We got married 6 months ago, and I did wear it again for a Rock the Dress shoot. It was a shame to not wear it again! I had it cleaned and preserved. I assume it will go into a closet eventually.
AHH I'm guilty of this as well!!!!!
TTC 19 months ~Started RE in March 2014~
DH was not ready for IUI so we waited
~Started acupuncture in May 2014~

Me too... Actually, it's been uncleaned in a closet since my mom first wore it over 35 years ago. It's was fine for the first 35 years, so it'll probably be fine until I find something to do with it.

This is what I did as well. My mom gives me a hard time about it being in there, still uncleaned but I'm one of those traditional "wanna keep my wedding dress forever" girls and I'm totally fine with leaving it in the condition it was that night!
It is if you're Heidi Klum. But that didn't work out so well for her...
I may donate my gown to the local high school's theatre department. My wedding was quite a while back; I don't care if I don't get a tax write off.
This is a great idea. Wish I tought of it.
I'm saving mine to make Christening gowns for our future babies. My veil will drape over the bassinet.
Same here, and I've been married almost 2.5 years.
I should probably take it in to be dry cleaned eventually, as I would love to have my dress used to create a Baptism gown for future kids.
That is me, however, I have been married 3.5 years. oops
I had mine preserved and boxed up. I considered donating it to charity, but my sentimental husband convinced me to keep it. He says I might have a daughter to give it to. I say that, based on the fact that his side of the family hasn't produced daughters in generations, that might not be something to expect (otherwise, most girls want their own wedding dress anyways).
So, not exactly sure why I kept it, but it is nice to look at it sometimes.
