Portland/Lewiston DRs & OB

Hey all! We are new to the area (moved here from Oklahoma) and were told on a post from Bump that there are more posts on TN vs TB with regard to OBs and DRs. We're FTP and 6 weeks and really trying to find what every new parent wants; the best nurse practitioner or doc out there in our area? Anyone have any recommendations? For right now our 10 wk apt is at Midcoast Medial Group in Brunswick. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? Thanks!!

When I was growing up and had some womans health issues I saw Dr. Seekins and LOVED her - I always said I wanted to go back to her when I was pregnant but found an OB where I am now that I was very happy with so I didn't but I have heard great things about the others OB's in the practice so I think you are in good hands there.

Congratulations! Not sure if you have picked out a Dr yet, but I just wanted to chime in with my $0.02. I work at MMC in maternity and know many OBs in the greater Portland area. At the top of my list is Bob Sansonetti and Anne Rainville. Coastal Women's Healthcare is great, and all the docs there are wonderful, but there are so many of them there, that you aren't likely to see the same doc all the time, in fact, you are likely to see a different doc each time you go. Each doc is amazing though, and some people don't mind not having a close relationship with their OB, but that, for me, was important. Congratulations and welcome to Maine!
