Curling Iron Question

I have a black tie affair coming up and I wanted to try to do some loose curls for the occasion.  I have never used a curling iron and don't own one.  My hair is about 3 inches past my shoulders so it's not super long.  I've been told by others to get "a large barrel iron" but I'm not sure exactly what size.  I would appreciate any advice you guys have.

Re: Curling Iron Question

  • A 1.5 inch would probably be your best bet.
  • well the 1" curling iron is good too for long hair, I have long hair too and I use one, it's the karmin g3 clipless, it works very good and makes pretty long lasting curls and waves. :) If you are interested I bought it online @ safrons. com :P
  • You can look at tutorial videos online if you've never used curling iron, I suggest practicing in advance. I recommend using Paul Mitchell 'soft spray' - doesn't feel or weigh down like hairspray and lasts all night.

  • Use a 1" and curl away from your face, spray and let cool then run your fingers through it! :)
