Re: Thirty Day Shred
I've been hearing about it, too and wondering...
I desperately want to kick start myself and ideally lose around 70 lbs.
Can you give any more details about Insanity? I've never heard of it.
I used to belly dance 4x a week, and diet a LOT! I've just gained quite a bit of weight since I got married, lol.
I really want to kick it into high gear after the holidays!
Insanity trainer's name is Shaun T. You don't need equipment or weights, lots of cardio. You can see some samples of his dvds on youtube. It will kick ass but results are faster than with other dvds I've tried, you can also read reviews online that will agree with me, the workouts are insane, you will be sweating within minutes. My favorite workout of his is called Pure Cardio, name says it all, around 25 mins
I loved 30 day shred, especially if you are just starting to workout or just want to switch up your routine. There are 3 different workouts on the DVD so it doesn't get boring either. I lost a few inches but wasn't really using it to lose weight, just switch up my workout routine so I could do something quick before work (about 28minute workout)
My fiance did insanity with some of the guys he works with, he played college football and said that workout was the hardest thing he ever did (and he was in decent shape when he did it). I think the insanity program is a great concept but it can be intimidating for some, however, it does give you great results
I loved 30 day shred too. I did at after my son was born to try to shed the excess pounds before I went back to work. I didn't do it religiously but mixed with lots of walking, jogging, etc, it fit the bill for me. Good luck!
I just started the 30DS again (last time was over a year ago). All I can say is WOW! I don't remember it being this hard! I was definitely surprised since I was going on 10 mile runs twice a week just a couple months ago. Good luck and I hope you enjoy it! I know I am.
