Hi, just popping over to this board for some advice.
Our family does a name drawing for Christmas gifts and I need ideas for my cousin's new husband. He's 24ish, went to grad school for international studies/business/politics? He has lived aboard with the Peace Core, speaks some Arabic, a fan of Obama and overall a super intelligent young man. I was thinking about some books on current events, international or domestic but I'm up for any advice you have!!! THANKS so much!

Hey, I read that a few months ago! It's certainly interesting though Rashid can get a bit tedious at times. He comes across as being a little full of himself, haha. But it is a satisfying read for someone who is NOT a fan of Bush or the NeoCon movement in general. Very harsh and critical look at the US's total failure to manage the Afghanistan situation effectively from the start.
I've had a book sitting on my shelf for a few months now that's supposed to be somewhat controversial, came out early this year... called The Crisis of Zionism by Peter Beinart, deals with the Israel/Palestine situation, if that sort of thing might strike his interest.
