Re: How was your weekend?

    • Highs? Well, I was in Arizona for a week, so it's like my weekend started two Saturdays ago! It was really warm there, so that was nice.
    • Lows? You know how family is...you love them, but a week is a looong time to be at their house when you typically live 2,500 miles away. I was ready to come home.
    • Eat/make anything good? We had snow crab legs on Friday night - yum - and then some really good Mexican food for lunch Saturday.
    • Watch anything good? Not particularly.
    • Read anything good? I'm currently reading "Summer Island" by Kristen Hannah, but it's more fluffy than her books usually are. I read "Firefly Lane" by her last week, and I liked that a lot better.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I posted about that job I really want last week -- well, they called all my references and have me coming in to meet with HR today. I'm crossing my fingers that I have this job!
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Today's HR interview, a work event on Thursday night that will probably be very nice.
  • Highs? It was a MUCH needed relaxing 4 day weekend! We really had a great time at home with DS, not doing much of anything. I did actually manage to get a Christmas-related craft done so I felt kind of accomplished, lol. Also, DS napped in the crib 3/4 days!! Miracle.
Lows? Saturday was kind of blah and we started to dread Monday already. We didn't get to hang out with our friends on Friday like we thought we would.
    Eat/make anything good? Thanksgiving Smile
Watch anything good? We caught a bit of Star Wars, episodes 2 and 3 on TV. Also continued to catch up with SOA.
    Read anything good? Nope.
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I am cold. COLD. DH keeps laughing at me because I'm in fuzzy socks and wrapped in a blanket, but I'm cold! I'm freezing right now - I don't think the heat is on in my office Sad I was/am super excited to shop online today/tonight but I don't know what to buy!!
What are you looking forward to this week? Maybe making cupcakes this weekend?

    • Highs? Spending time with family and friends.
    • Lows? Caroline was sick part of the weekend.
    • Eat/make anything good? I fixed a Turkey breast and it turned out yummy.
    • Watch anything good? Still trying to check up on Once Upon a time
    • Read anything good? No
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? This week Caroline has started to say Dada. I know DH is loving it and I'm loving that she is so close to crawling.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? Christmas dinner with my BIL/SIL at VOLT! I can't wait to spoil myself with good food.

  • Highs? Thanksgiving was fun, going to the movies
Lows? Not having any full days off
Eat/make anything good? Other than Thanksgiving, my sister made quesadillas, guac, and queso last night.
Watch anything good? I saw Breaking Dawn with my sister on Friday (cheesy, as always) and my parents took DH and I to see Lincoln on Saturday.  It was really, really good!
    Read anything good? No
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Things are going really well with the business we started.  We doubled (and counting!) our number of customers over the weekend and got a good review on a blog.  It's really exciting!
What are you looking forward to this week? A friend's baby shower on Saturday Kelsey- I'm really excited for you!

    • Highs? Had a great time at ICE and lunch with DH and friends yesterday. Also had fun at my cousin's bridal shower Saturday.
    • Lows? Five days off coming to an end.
    • Eat/make anything good? Yummy food at the shower - meatballs, empanadas, dips, etc.
    • Watch anything good? The Campaign was pretty funny. I thought Magic Mike was a let down.
    • Read anything good? Finished the 2nd Harry Potter and started the 3rd.
    • FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I haven't worked a five day week since October b/c of all the holidays and hurricane days. Hoping this week goes by really fast.
    • What are you looking forward to this week? VACATION!!!!

Me too! I was like "did I just miss something about this movie"?  I thought it was dumb and besides looking at Channing Tatum half naked, there was no plot or point to the movie.
  • Highs? A ton of time off, spending time with family

Lows? Ending it all by getting sick, starting yesterday morning

    Eat/make anything good? Thanksgiving dinner!

Watch anything good? DVR catch-up and I started watching Malibu Country on OnDemand. I'm sure it's going to get canceled, but I loved Reba's last sitcom and this one makes me laugh, too.

Read anything good? Then Came You, Jennifer Weiner

FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I'm irrationally angry at Ed, who's sleeping and snoring next to me. I can't sleep because of his snoring and I just want to smack him. But he's as sick as I am, so I can't blame him.

What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing exciting coming up.

  • Highs? Hosting Thanksgiving was really nice.  It was pretty mellow and easy and it was nice to be at home all day.  Cleaning up was easier than I expected too.

    Lows? Coming back to work?

Eat/make anything good? The turducken was good, but we'll make a regular turkey next time.  My sister brought a chocolate mousse cake which was fantastic.

Watch anything good? Not really - I think we are going to start watch Sons of Anarchy and Friday Night Lights.  I wish we'd made it to the movies this weekend.

Read anything good? I started reading Wuthering Heights

FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc?  We went to Festival of Trees on Saturday - it was nice but kind of a cluster.  The lines were nuts.  I'm so over turkey and leftovers.

What are you looking forward to this week?  ugh - 5 day work week!

I thought the Festival of Trees could of been better. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it was so crowded with crazy long lines everywhere.

DH made me watch this.  I'm not a huge Channing Tatum fan.  DH insisted it was about him being an entrepreneur (furniture business).  I tried to tell him otherwise but it was pointless.  We were both disappointed lol

Yeah, aside from laughing at Michael McConaughey and the CSI Miami guy stripping, it was pretty boring. DH gave up after like 1/2 an hour.

yeah. .. the lines were bad.  They at least could have been better managed.  I really didn't look at the trees too much.

  • Highs? Four days off, managed to fit in a lot of family & friend time, as well as some down time and productive time!

Lows? Too much eating and drinking, too little exercising

Eat/make anything good? DH fried a turkey for the first time, after he injected it with butter! I also made s'mores in my living room at the fireplace, haha. I love s'mores.

Watch anything good? Home Alone was on tv! Never gets old. And the Ravens game was so exciting!

Read anything good? No, but I did set up my new Kindle Fire and am debating which book to purchase first.

FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? Vent: a couple of family members are driving us crazy about Christmas presents. These people go nuts and are excessive with the presents. I appreciate any gifts, but they certainly aren't necessary, it kind of makes me feel bad to accept tons of gifts at our age, and it's almost not worth it when you are going to ask me to give you every.single.detail about what I would like. What ever happened to putting thought into gifts and having to figure out what to get people? I know I drive myself crazy with this every year. I just don't understand how I can make it any easier than creating an Amazon wish list?? One of these years, when I grow a pair, I am going to declare a gift-less Christmas for anyone over 12 yo.

What are you looking forward to this week? I'm hoping to start wrapping the Christmas gifts I already bought :-)
