what's cooking?

A day late.  I have a feeling lots of turkey will be on the menu this week.

Sunday: leftovers

Monday: leftovers

Tuesday: turkey pot pie

Wednesday: potatoes and eggs

Thursday: I'm having dental work so who knows?

Friday: tacos (with beef, not turkey!)

Re: what's cooking?

  • Sun: T-day dinner - we didn't cook, therefore we didn't have any leftovers and I wanted some, so I made chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes, roasted brussel sprouts and cranberry sauce

Mon - haluski, (cabbage & noodles), roasted butternut squash

Tue - roast beef and cheese hoagies

    Wed - crockpot pot roast

    Thur and Fri are undecided

  • Sun- Manicotti

    Mon- Beef Enchilladas and Rice

Tues- DH wanted the Crockpot Italian Chicken.  I told him how to put it on while I made the enchiladas.  When it was done and I went to take it out, the chicken was non-existent!  I don't know what he did, but it seems like the chicken melted away.  So, I think he will be eating that since it's probably only enough for one person, and I'll eat leftover enchiladas.

    Wed- Steak and a veggie

    Thurs- Parmesan Chicken and veggies

    Fri- ??

Sat- I have a late lunch date with some friends, so DH will be on his own.

  • Sunday: left over turkey day stuff

    Monday: Eagles game

Tuesday: I took out ground meat, so either tacos or spaghetti

Wednesday: Dh is working a double, so I have no clue

    Thursday: Same as Wednesday

Friday: String Band kick off party

    Saturday: dinner at the 'rents

  • I am by no means a gourmet chef, but man not having full access to my kitchen is really messing with me!  So far, it's been:

    Mon: tuna sandwiches

    Tue: cereal

no clue about the rest of the week, including tonight. I really don't want to do take out every night...but everything depends on if any progress is made by DH on getting the kitchen back together tonight (it's his one night off from coaching).  I may end up mooching food off of my parents tomorow and Friday when I drop Ais off on my way to work...and then Saturday we are at Sesame for their Christmas event so we'll probably eat somewhere around there afterward...Sunday we have a family dinner at MIL's house.

Jamie, I was in the same boat as you when we moved into our house. Our kitchen was not done and we couldn't afford to stay in our apartment plus pay the mortgage anymore. We had no stove and the refrigerator was in the dining room. The crockpot is definetly your friend, especially dishes where you can throw things in that require 0 prep.
