Hello, after lurking and posting some on the GP board, figured I'd like to expand to more boards. I'm aware some of these boards have been moving slow, but I didn't want to be a stranger before I share my input, ect. Hope everyone is having a good week!

My gosh, a little about me would be nice wouldn't it? I am 21, H is 31, and we married about 4 months ago. We are living in FL for a little while, but have been visiting my hometown in TX for a few weeks for my b'day, thanksgiving, ect. I'm a little bad with introductions, but feel free to ask if you'd like.

Hey there! My H was born in Baltimore and spent his childhood there, then moved to FL I think in early teen years, and ended up staying there. After getting married we agreed I'd go back with him. We're not planning on staying there but we need to just for a little longer so he can get some more schooling done. He makes fun of my southern accent sometimes. When he first heard me say "y'all" he asked, "what's a y'all?"

Ha thats hilarious! I have a friend in California who wanted me to expain why we say some of those things, such as yall and buggies.

Oh cool, we drive through mobile when driving back n' forth. That tunnel is pretty neat. But our GPS took us a weird route one day and when driving through Alabama, we were coming up to a rail road and noticed there wasn't a stop light or one of those bars that lowers down to stop people. That being said, there happened to be a train coming and everyone was trying to pass before the train came. We thought it would be fun to do what everyone else was doing and lets just say we barely got past the railroad before that train came. Stupid, but we got a great laugh out of it!

Ha wow that doesnt sound safe. We don't have very many railroad tracks where I live but I would have thought they all at least have the warning light. I've only been in Mobile when we're passing through on the way to the beach.

lol I sure hoped the other roads have warnings, that's just not safe. Alabama is pretty though! We road trip a lot and I'm so glad I got to see how beautiful America is.
