Buttercream Question

I'm make two cakes for DD's first birthday party: one is going to be a double layer round with homemade buttercream frosting and her smash cake will be the giant cupcake with (potentially) buttercream frosting.

My problem is that my refrigerator will not hold both cake plus all the other food items I'll have going on with the party. How long is it safe to leave a cake out with buttercream frosting? I am hoping I don't have to do canned frosting on her smash cake.

TIA!
