NPCE related. Who wants to play ? Inappropriate coworker convos!?!?
I'm just bored and irritated and thought maybe you all would commiserate with me and share your stories too.
My "boss" is so incredibly inappropriate but in a non threatening way.
He says $hit all the time that is SO over the top TMI.
Examples: I know that he sits to urinate. I know where his children were conceived. I know when his daughter is menstrating. The list goes on and on. But this week. THIS week topped them all.
Dude has been having trouble with frequent urination. He wanted to go "home" for Thanksgiving..quite a drive 6+ hours. During work hours he researched and watched a video (I could hear the sound because I am stuck sitting close by) of a device you wear so that you can "pee on the go".
He went and bought the apparatus and brought it into work and was looking at it and watching the video on "how to".
I'm ready to this lottery and get out of dodge.

We are a large, yet private company. The "good ol boy" system is very much alive. It is all about getting the job done, no one focuses on "silly stuff" like HR.
It is just a case of I need to find a new job cause it will never change here.

This goes beyond being TMI and being crass --- when I hear this, I tend to think of somebody on the autism spectrum, reason being that wow, this is inappropriate and most definitely not part of normal behavior.
He's also got a nice health problem --- he's either got a UTI, diabetes, a thyroid problem or something prostate.
Is this your boss or not?
If he is not, I would report his behavior to his supervisor -- and I'd also go to HR about this. What he is doing is not appropriate, whether or not he's got some other type of behavioral problem.
