Anything that your thankful for?
Re: Thankful Thursday!
I'm thankful that DH and I have separate accounts since his check card got hacked for like the 7th time this year. He's been given 3 new cards and it's still happening.
I'm really thankful I only have one more day of work until vacation!!!!
I'm thankful that my husband and I have so many friends to invite to our Christmas party that although I thought 40 invitations would be enough (considering 2/3 of them are addressed to couples!), that I ran out when addressing them last night.
I'm thankful that we bought a new vacuum cleaner last weekend after fighting with our old one for months and it not doing a good job. Our house might still be a disaster -- Christmas decorations everywhere, suitcases half unpacked from Thanksgiving, laundry thrown places -- but the carpets are finally clean.

I'm thankful that Hubby helps out so much. He's been sick, but he still comes home and takes C while I fix dinner for the family. I'm thankful that C sleeps through the night and hardly fusses. A complete turn around from when A was a baby.
I'm also thankful that last night I got a start on wrapping presents and they are hiding under the tree away from a 3 year old hands.
How did it go telling your boss?

It's been an interesting week. I called my boss yesterday -- he sounded so tired, I felt so bad -- and told him. He was so nice about it. I got teary-eyed because he's such a great guy, and I know this is terrible timing for him. He asked me to keep quiet until he tells our publisher, but she was in an all-day seminar yesterday and has been in a meeting this morning, so she still doesn't know. I would like to be able to talk about it and make arrangements with other staff memebers!

I am thankful for the Chai Tea and Ibuprofen that was sitting on my desk when I walked into the office. I have some awesome coworkers.
I am thankful for my husband. We know a lot of people in crappy marriages and I'm so thankful we have each other This sounds really cheesy but we are truly rich in love.
I'm thankful for such a great partner. I'm feeling the pains of being a busy working Mom right now and was feeling really frustrated and overwhelmed last night. I asked DH to take care of cooking dinner for he and I (I'd already fed Mia), which he happily did. He also took over the kids after we ate so that I could go take a long, hot shower to soothe some achiness. When I texted him at 11pm and asked him to come up and give me a hand with Liam, who was having trouble going down, he came up in a flash to take over and give me a break.
There are days/nights that I feel an imbalance in who is doing what (and I'm sure he feels the same at times!), but by far and large, I think we're a great team and do a good job at keeping things pretty even keel.
Also, his best friend was having some marital issues that we were discussing last night. It makes me thankful for my good, strong marriage. I'm so glad that I'm not fretting about where my husband is or who he's with. We had trust issues many years ago, but there's not a single trace of that now.
And in non-mushy-gag-worthy crap, I'm thankful for Ghirardelli peppermint bark.
This is such a standard answer but I really am so thankful for my boys. They are so smart, funny, and loving and they make my heart swell up when I am around them.
also, I am thankful for my guilty pleasure Justin Timberlake songs that are getting me through this crappy work day.
I'm thankful for my 12 full weeks of maternity leave. I only got 8 with Sydney because I started a new job. Even though I only have two full weeks left and it's gone by too fast, it's been absolutely wonderful spending this time with my girls.
And I'm thankful for the great deal we got on K-Cups last week and the super fast shipping! I'm not a regular coffee drinker, but pumpkin spice, gingerbread and spicy eggnog (to a lesser degree) sure know how to start my morning off right.
