Re: Any SCOTUS watchers?
I don't think they'll take it up, and will leave the marriage issue up to states for now (presumably meaning the CA ruling overturning Prop 8 would stand). It would put Roberts in a tricky position on a divided court and after he swung the court in favor of the Obamacare ruling, it seems likely to me that they'll table another contentious issue for the moment. The states have proven themselves quite capable of making their own laws, in either direction, on this matter.
If they did take it... I'd like to think that it would go 5-4 in favor of overturning Prop 8. Roberts himself might be fairly consistently conservative, but he also seems pragmatic- I can't imagine the Supreme Court upholding something like Prop 8 right when more states are succeeding at legalizing gay marriage.
