Does anyone have one?
I'm looking for something to occupy the kids during our commute. If I have to play one more game of Eye Spy in the dark...
I know there are a lot of cool kids tech gifts out, but I'm technically done shopping for them, so I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. The Leapster seemed reasonably priced, but is it entertaining? Is it expensive to add new games? My kids are used to the iPad, so I'm not sure if they'll like something on this level or not. I wasn't impressed with my only other Leap Frog purchase (the Tag reader). It was sort of a pain to set up, and although it was a small investment initially the books were kind of expensive.
Re: Another gift question: Leapster
My 4 year old has a Leapster Explorer and a DS. He plays both but he understands the Leapster better. He plays it just about every day actually. He loves it. You can get games at GameStop and 5 below also. We have purchased from both. The DS is something you can get for them to grow into also, where as the Leapster they may grow out of. You can also buy used DSs at Gamestop for a little bit more than a new Leapster. Thats what we did with our son. Good luck!
