Re: How was your weekend?
Highs? We got our Christmas tree up; I held auditions for a new performing arts group I'm producing at the Children's Theatre
Lows? DH went to the ER on Saturday morning with bad back pain (it's recurrent, but it was really bad). They couldn't really answer what was wrong with him, but prescribed him perc and valium, which haven't helped. They referred him to a PCP, which he called multiple times yesterday and they did not answer the phone or call him back.
Eat/make anything good? Monkey bread friday night, lasagna soup Sunday night
Watch anything good? Just some Christmas movies -- Elf, the beginning of Miracle on 34th Street
Read anything good? Finished up "Summer Island" by Kristen Hannah, wasn't very good though. Started Mindy Kaling's book, "Is Everyone Hanging out without me?"
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? 7 days left of this job...
What are you looking forward to this week? Second round of auditions tomorrow night, office cookie exchange on Friday

Cooking with Crouton: A Food Blog
Highs? Time with friends Friday night, getting my hair cut on Saturday, and starting a new book.
Lows? I ate two boxes of Do-Si-Dos in two days. That was definitely a lowpoint for me. FattyFatFat. Oh, and we didn't get the tree up. MommyFail.
Eat/make anything good? Uh, Do-Si-Dos? Oh, and wonton soup!
Watch anything good? Scandal! And Vampire Diaries.
Read anything good? I started Celebrity in Death, a JD Robb book. I have it in the car today and I want more than anything to be out there reading it instead of at my desk.
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? This happened Monday, but since I didn't go to work, it felt like part of the weekend... Ed had a bit of a temper tantrum on Monday morning. He was out of line and upset me. A lot. I was proud of the fact that I didn't allow my temper to inflate along with his and instead kept my distance until he'd cooled off (something I wasn't so good at in the early days of our relationship).
He recognized how out of line he'd been and first apologized to Mia (he yelled at her and it was unwarranted), then he apologized to me. He'd been feeling overwhelmed and isolated, through no fault of mine, and he'd reached a breaking point he didn't know he had.
He's making more of an effort to spend time with the family instead of locked away in the basement at his computer, and because he doesn't want me to feel the way that he's been feeling, he keeps asking if there's anything he can do to help me. Which is great, 'cause I often feel like the damn Mad Hatter during the week.
What are you looking forward to this week? I was looking forward to getting Mia to the doctor yesterday to find out what was going on with a rash on her thighs. I didn't dig the response, but at least we know.
Also: she has a Daisies event tonight that I know she'll love, so on her behalf, I'm looking forward to that. And Friday I'm getting a diagnostic test out of the way, and while it's going to suck, at least I'll be on my way to some health-related answers.
Oh! And Scandal. After last week's episode, I am DYING to watch this week's.
What a boring answer. LOL

Lows? See vents below...
Eat/make anything good? We bought FIL a berry cheesecake from Wegman's. It was amazing!!
Watch anything good? The Devil Wears Prada - I'd never seen it.
Read anything good? No
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? My cycle is so consistent I could set my watch by it. AF was five days late so I got really excited, hoping for a BFP but that didn't happen. We aren't actively TTC but open to the idea if it happens. I guess I want it more than I thought. Coupled with news I got from my sister, I was disappointed.I purged our guest room because my mother will be staying with us 2 or 3 nights a week for the next 10 WEEKS! This might be flammable but Dad is covering our electric bill while she is here. I don't feel bad taking the money because this is a huge inconvenience.
What are you looking forward to this week? Nothing really
Highs? Had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed the 80 degree weather everyday with no rain.
Lows? I have horrible blisters all over my feet.
Eat/make anything good? Delicious food everyday. My favorite meal was my birthday dinner at Le Cellier - filet with mushroom risotto and some type of delicious poached apple dessert.
Watch anything good? No tv but I loved the old Michael Jackson Captain EO show at Epcot. Brought back a lot of memories.
Read anything good? Still reading the 4th Harry Potter. I loved the HP rides at Universal!!!!
FFCs, vents, AWs, comments, etc? I was so happy to be back in my own bed last night and see my husband and sweet doggie.
What are you looking forward to this week? Hopefully adopting a 2nd doggie!
