Hives

I broke out in hives yesterday. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I called my OB's office. The mid-wife called me back and said to take Benadryl and Pepcid. I went to CVS showed the pharamist. She thought I should go to the OB. I called my OB back and she said to go to ergent care. It's $100 right off the bat to be seen by them. I don't want to go unless it gets REALLY bad. I can't work today due to my swollen eyelid and being tired from the Benedryl. Does anyone have experience with hives? If so what did you do for relief?

I'd be going to the hospital. At least something like a Patient First.

You're probably right Mark, but I'm afarid that it will cost me an arm and a leg and they'll just tell me to take Benadryl. However, if it's worse by 2pm, I'm going to Urgent Care.

I think I would be going to Urgent care too. Cause you just never know what it might be.

Oh no! I hope the benadryl ended up working! What ended up happening?

Nope, didn't go to Urgent Care because the hives seem to be getting better. They are still there but I'm taking Benedryl every four hours with hopes of them disappearing. There is no more swelling so that's a good thing.

Yes, I'm okay. I took off of work again today because I need to be on Benadryl and that makes me sleepy. I really am hoping they'll be gone soon. They are not nearly as bad as they were yesterday.
