Excessive drooling - Just started
My six year old chocolate lab has recently (within the last 3 days) started drooling a lot. She has never drooled before in the three years I've had her (except for occaionally when I'm eating something she really wants). But lately she has been drooling like crazy. Any surface she lies on will have a puddle within 5 minutes - including our bed (yuck). Other than the drooling, she seems fine. She is eating, sleeping and pooping ok.
Is this something I should be worried about? I don't want to spend $300 on a check-up at the vet if this is totally normal behaviour. Could it have something to do with her getting older?
