An FYI for Saturday

We sort of have a no shoe policy in our house.  I just wanted to let you all know now so you can factor in that piece of information when you're planning your outfits.  If you're anything like me, you might have certain outfits that would be totally ruined if you have to remove your shoes.

That is all Smile

  • I wish I can impliment that in my house. Maybe the new house. DH wont be on board with it until we have a LO crawling around on the floor. I will make sure I wear clean socks!! Hey, you know, maybe this will be the perfect time for everyone to wear fancy christmas socks if they have them!!

  • Chase always takes his shoes off as soon as he walks in the door. No matter the weather. The kid hates shoes. DH on the other hand, will walk through the house and take his shoes off in the closet, which I cant complain about but he walks through the house with his shoes on. i have already expressed the desire to have a no shoes in the house rule in the new house. Everyone agrees so hopefully it works.
  • J- Since you already have this policy in place, how does that work for say, getting dressed in the morning? Do you carry your shoes to your door before you leave? Then again when you come in? thats what I would do, but I wanted to see how it actually works in your house. I need to school my boys on the proper No Shoes In The House procedures. Im sorry if I sound like an idiot. But we havent dont this before.
  • we in general do not wear shoes in our house. the only problem with this is when we have parties. it is very hard to impliment then. if its a group of girls its a bit different but when you have IL's, friends, babies...there is just too many people to make sure shoes are taken off. and mrs. skiz I generally have a pile of shoes at my door. haha. but every other day I clean them up.
  • I love this! My feet are so swollen that wearing shoes is uncomfortable. Now I won't be the only person without shoes on :)

We always have a pile in front of the front door or by the kitchen Island.  Both are tile/hard wood so it doesn't bother me... it's mainly for Jeff and his ability to magically have oil all over him NO MATTER WHAT.  He puts his boots on in the kitchen.
