FFFC's anyone?

Re: FFFC's anyone?

  • DD has been seeing the boxes that have been delivered to our house and asks DH what's inside and he tells her presents for her cousins. This morning she saw a pile of them in DS's room. We put them in there with the intent of going through them last night since DS was away but never did. I'm sure she isn't questioning the existence of Santa but it still has me feeling really guilty. Next year we will have to have them delivered somewhere else.

Another one is that I've been looking so frumpy lately and really need to snap out of it. I got my hair cut so it's too short to wear in a ponytail so I've been wearing pigtails and I know it looks ridiculous. Granted, they are in the back and very low but still.

  • This morning was rough on DH and I, my kid wakes up most morning and within 5 minutes is screaming about the most random things. Normally we just let her scream or ignore her, but this morning she woke up C. This morning she was upset that DH turned on the lights to walk down the steps to the living room. It's a constant battle (I hate 3!!!). I know I shouldn't think this way, but I was so happy to drop her off and go to work for some peace and quiet.

  • The stupid lady who was renting my house still hasn't cashed her deposit refund! She has had it since Thanksgiving week.  She was threatening to sue me over $200, so I guess she is planning to do it since she still hasn't cashed the check! I'm so over her!! We have already spent over $500 fixing up the stuff she ruined!

  • I caught DS's cold which is annoying but it's really not that bad. The thing is, I'm freezing cold all the time. It'll be 75 in our house and I'm looking for a sweatshirt and a big blanket. Also, I really hope DH doesn't catch this cold. I hate when he's sick.

My dining room table can only stay clean for 0.01 seconds before it's piled full of stuff again. I need to clear it off tonight so when my parents come over tomorrow they will a) have a place to eat dinner, and b) not judge my messiness.

  • My 3 year old drives me insane, lately his thing is there is only ONE pair of pajamas he wants to wear every night, even if I explain to him they are dirty, he starts crying and pitching a fit. OMG. Also he has so many stalling techniques when we are getting ready for bed. First he wants to wear his spiderman outfit before we get in bed. I finally give in and say "ok, but only for a minute" and he says "No, how about 5 minutes?".Then it never fails, right as he is drifting off to sleep he tells me he is thirsty so I have to get him water. Now his latest thing is telling me he is hungry at bedtime, hoping he can score an extra 10 minutes downstairs in the kitchen. WHY DO KIDS NOT LIKE TO SLEEP??? I would sleep 12 hours a day if I could.

oh - hi - welcome to my world.

E can have a slice of bread in her room if she's hungry and she keeps a water cup in there.  I've let her sleep in regular clothes more than once just b/c I didn't want the pajama thing to turn into a fight - and now she's back to wearing PJs (most) of the time.  Our bedtime routine used to take 20ish minutes - now I'm LUCKY if its under 45.  Instead of waiting for her to pick books (after she's finished playing and arguing about PJs or not taking off her underwear, etc.) I just pick up books and start reading.
