Dec. 10th Weekly Randoms
Well there is still a little activity here so I'll keep posting as long as other want to join in.
This past week(s) have been crazy busy for me at work and doesn't show a sign of slowing down. Good news is that the movie DH has been doing sound editing/master is being shown in TV tonight and what DH thought was just helping out a friend with this project just turned into a pay gig. Said friend told him to submit an invoice for the work he has done. So there a nice piece of change we didn't plan on. It kind of makes up for all the weekends and late nights DH has spent on this project.
I'm excited also because I have plans to meet up with some friends this week and next week Monday I'm planning on going to see a sneak peek of the 1st episode of Season 3 of Downton Abbey with another friend.
I haven't even thought much about Christmas. I did put up a few decorations in our living room at home. Basically I have a pear tree minus the partridge and a few ornaments hanging from the fireplace mantel.

I put the tree up just for something to do. Of course, the first box of ornaments I open are all of the ones my mom & I bought him the past couple of years. Below that all the "first Christmas" ornaments. Lovely. I'm not hanging stockings, because it makes me too sad to see mine hanging there all alone. I covered my tree in all the ornaments my mom has made for me over the year & then some of the Hallmark ones she's gotten me.
Surprise paychecks are awesome! I"m really worried about finances. I can't imagine trying to live in this house with a roommate, but I suppose it is something to consider down the road if I have to. I just hope the snow stays away so I don't have to do a bunch of shoveling this year. No thanks.
I really just don't have the Christmas spirit much and haven't for the last couple of years. Money's been tight and now that we lost the house and are living with my parents there isn't much I feel like celebrating this holiday season.
Charity: What about downsizing your apartment, is that an option?
