Please help - sick dog. :/

My 4 year old Jack Russell mix has been regurgitating everything he eats. He's still drinking water, but in small quantities. And he's been laying around and not doing much. He's done this before a while back and it ended up being stress that caused it. I'm going to take him to the vet this evening if he doesn't seem to be doing any better, but wanted to know if any of you have any advice on how to help him in the meantime. TIA

  • Try a chamolie tea bag in the water. We did this with our German Shepard whenever she would get sick. Hope he gets better!

  • Going to the vet/calling the vet in an emergency is always the right course of action.
  • Sure enough he had caused himself to get gastritis because of stress. So I've been feeding him rice and chicken in hopes to make his tummy feel a little better. He was happier this morning so hopefully the worst is over. Thanks for the responses. :)

  • Our vet said we could give our 55 pound dog one half of a Tums.  That always soothed his stomach.  JR being small would need much less though.  Good luck.

  • Our dog has this issue, related to food allergies. He is on allergy friendly food and when his stomach bothers him he gets a pepcid.
