Freaking out a bit

So I go in for surgery tomorrow... a laproscopic decompression on my shoulder. Recovery time till I can use my right (dominant) arm again is 7-10 days. The surgery doesn't make me nervous- the recovery makes me a bit nervous... it's the not having a clean house that is freaking me out a bit.

Seriously, when did the martha stewart gene kick in because it's a new thing for me? We might be having some folks over in a couple weeks (going away get together for some dear friends who are moving before the holidays) but I told everyone there is a 50/50 chance we are all just meeting at a restaurant.

I just wanted everything clean so I can have people come visit my I'm not allowed to drive but out in the suburbs where I can't walk to anything butt. So off to work and will try and finish cleaning this evening <sigh>

Oh and funniest thing about the whole surgery H was getting all nervous about timing of sexy time and I asked why- he said... well you don't want to get pregnant and have surgery b/c you have to take all those pain meds and that'd be bad for a baby, right? Not sure but cracked me up that he was thinking that way and it was not on my radar at all. Very cute. Okay I feel better- thanks girls!

Re: Freaking out a bit

  • Hang in there! Hope you recover fast! Get the h to help clean! You direct lol!

  • I hope everything goes well for you!  I don't have any plans this week/weekend so hit me up on fb if you need any help with anything around the house!  I'd be more than happy to help out.
  • Good Luck.  H had the same surgery in July.  He's well on the mend now.  I'd recommend having a few button down shirts for the first week or so, but they had him in PT within 5 days.

PS  he was up for sexy time after a week.
