How are you feeling? Ready for your newest wee one? I'm so excited for you all :)

Re: Clare

  • Hi Gwen!! Thanks for the note!

I am hanging in there overall - really starting to slow down right now and getting more irritable (holidays), though. It was to the point yesterday where I told my OB that anyone that has a due date around the holidays (barring being a first-time Mom) is absolutely nuts. Now, granted, we didn't have any choice in the matter.... but I'm really glad I kept a few vacation days for this month! Sants got "her" gifts to the kids wrapped at least. :)

Not quite ready yet - it's hard because on top of every day stuff, there is getting ready for the baby and my Mom is coming up, so then it's getting her room ready and such. She's offered to help with all of that, but she's only coming in 1.5 days before I go in to the hospital. (Oh yeah, I'm going in on the 21st - decided that I didn't want to risk being in the hospital on Christmas Day, plus I really needed an extra set of hands here.)

I have to get the carseat out this weekend and I really need to vacuum the inside of my car (and figure out seating arrangements for 3). I also need to pull out my pump and clean it. So, still big things for the baby. Then there is finishing wrapping and mailing...the dreaded post office. LOL

Thanks so much for asking! How are you doing on your end? Are you almost ready for the holiday? And are you already planning on taking January 8th off from work?! LOL

  • I think it sounds like you're doing amazing! Between being very pregnant, having a family to take care of, still working AND getting ready for company - I give you big time props! I remember all too well the slowing down feeling and can't imagine doing that right before the holidays. I'm glad you'll have an extra set of hands soon! Hang in there mama - you are SO close:)

Things are good on this end! We're pretty much ready for the holiday outside of having to pick up a couple of odds and ends. We're doing Christmas with the ILs this weekend, so that will be nice. Next Friday is the last day before break at work and I'll be off for two weeks. Seriously can't wait!

And hahaha - I think I would take the extra day off if I weren't already taking off time at the holiday! It's going to be SO exciting:)

  • seriously, I can't believe you are due already!!  These pregnancy's seem to be flying by, for me at least! lol, you can probably disagree!

  • Gwen: that is going to be so nice to have 2 weeks off after all of the craziness of the holidays! Enjoy every minute of it. (And thanks - I don't feel very productive. LOL I've been getting little baby gifts here and there, though, so that's helping with reality. I can't believe there is going to be another human under my care in 8 days! Lisa: Oh my word - overall it has gone fast and I've had no serious issues (outside of sever leg cramps at night and even that has, thankfully, subsided almost to the point of being gone completely, in the last 4 weeks. for the past week, I've felt large, though. Thankfully, I have a very supportive and flexible boss, though, and have been able to work remotely because of the boys' school schedule (and various illnesses). That's helped with my stress level, just not having the commute or the added cost! Just don't stop your cake business any time soon, ok? I'm providing you some job security these days. LOL

  • I can't believe your little one is going to be here next week!!  Are you thinking boy or girl?

We didn't get a chance to plan a lunch before you left, we definitely have to organize something when you come back!

Aw thanks - I would love that! My schedule has been crazy as I've been working remote at least 2 days a week it seems, due to school being off, Evil Kneival (DS #2) needing stitches and then catching the stomach bug, using up vacation time, etc. etc., so I feel like I haven't been around much!

I'm not having one set feeling, honestly, but I'm secretly leaning (hoping?) towards a girl. Both boys think girl and DH is set on it being a boy. So surreal, Meghan.... You could be in my shoes this time next year, maybe?! lol

If you don't mind, I might shoot you one last email about FMLA policy here - I'm pretty sure I've got it all taken care of, but the boss was questioning one thing (which she was going to have her Admin look into), and I just want to be sure.

  • I'll see how things go for you, then I'll think about #3!Wink

Definitely send me an email - there have been some issues with our new leave administrator, so I will try to help in any way that I can!
