Hug your babies tonight

http://news.msn.com/us/at-least-27-dead-in-shooting-at-conn-elementary-school

I don't know if anybody else is watching this coverage.  It's so so sad.  I just can't stop crying.  You take your kids to school thinking they are safe and something like this happens.  What kind of sick, evil person goes to an elementray school and starts shooting kids?   I still can't bring myself to go to a movie theater.

  • It makes me sick to my stomach to follow this story.

  • I cannot for the life of me imagine what would make someone do that.

  • Absolutely devastating! I just told my co-worker, this makes me want to drive straight to Hayden's elementary school to pick him up and just hug him. So awful.

  • It's so sad that the shooter killed his mother in the class and then the students in her class.

  • I'm so incredibly sickened by this. I'm so fed up and tired of these shootings. I just don't know how to even be a parent in these times without worrying myself sick all the time! Today is our daycare's parents night out so we aren't picking dd up until late but all I want to do is get her right now!

  • One more thing to add to my list of reason's of why I want to home school my children.

  • Just found out a coworkers children attend that school... thankfully they are ok. Just sickens me to even follow the coverage. I can't begin to imagine what they are all going through.
  • This is so awful I can't even wrap my head around it.  I keep looking at the baby monitor to watch my daughter nap.

This. I mean, you have a beef with your mother - that's one thing. But all of those innocent children? *shudder*

  • I can't even think about this without crying. I was home all day so saw a decent amount of coverage. I never thought I'd need to worry about stuff like this so soon with DD. It hits too close to home. I mean most of those kids probably didn't even know what was happening -- they were like sitting ducks. I can't stop thinking about the faces of Lanna's classmates, who are less than a year from being kindergarteners, as they run towards me every time I drop her off for school to tell me about a loose tooth, a sleepover at grandma's house, their new shoes, etc. They love having people come into the classroom, and probably would've welcomed him too.
