After hearing of this terrible tragedy I cannot stop crying... Who could have ever imagined something like this happening. These poor innocent babies! I just can't stop wondering how these lil ones must be so scared... I just still cannot believe this happened...

This just must have hit us all hard! I don't have any kids of my own, but all I can think of is having children brought into this scary world. I have always wanted children, but it makes me wonder, how our world is turning into such a sad place, and do I want to bring my children up in a world like this... Its just so sad.. I cannot get over this...
You are definitely not alone. Out of all the the national tragedies, this is the first time I broke down and cried. I don't know why this one gets to me so much. Maybe because I work with young children? Either way... at night I can't sleep because I think about what those children's last thoughts where. Did they call for mommy? Did they try to hide? Did they cry?
And, the teachers! They did not hesitate to protect their children. Yes, their children. There is not other way to describe it. They really are heroes.
I believe we are grieving as a nation. It means our country is still compassionate, and we have not become "used" to these horrific attacks. We should also remember the names of those who lost their lives, rather than the name of the man who caused this tragedy. It is a shame that the monsters become house hold names, and the names of the victims often become forgotten. I refuse to learn the name of the man who did this.
