Help! Wedding gown made into Christening gown?

Hi Ladies, I havent posted on this local board for close to 3 years I am mostly on the bump boards but wanted to ask you all a question.

I am looking to get a christening gown made from my wedding gown. I have tried to search around a bit on the internet but so far have only found one lady and she charges anywhere from $125-$200 and is in the North Huntingdon area. I am willing to use her but am wondering if you ladies would know of anyone else who would be able to do this service and if this is a reasonable price? thanks!

  • I did this 6 yrs ago and paid around $75; I just had to buy the pattern too (I had it made as detachable top and bottom and had two bottoms made - one for a boy, one for a girl.) definitely look around for other seamstresses; that seems a little pricey considering you are providing the material!)

I don't regret having done it at all!
